Lamine Yamals Grandmother He Has No Connection To Morocco

Lamine Yamal's grandmother : «He has no connection to Morocco»

A new element in the case of Lamine Yamal, the Moroccan singer who was arrested in France for his alleged involvement in a terrorism plot.

His grandmother, Khadija Yamal, has assured that he has no connection to Morocco and that he has never been radicalized.

Lamine Yamal, a 25-year-old Moroccan singer, was arrested in France on January 26 on suspicion of involvement in a terrorist plot. The arrest came after French authorities received a tip from Moroccan intelligence that Yamal was planning an attack on French soil.

However, Yamal's grandmother, Khadija Yamal, has denied the allegations, saying that her grandson has no connection to Morocco and has never been radicalized.

"He has no connection to Morocco," Khadija Yamal told The Guardian. "He has never been to Morocco and he doesn't speak Arabic. He is a French citizen and he has always lived in France."

Khadija Yamal also said that her grandson is a "peaceful and loving" person who would never hurt anyone.

"He is a singer and he loves music," she said. "He would never do anything to harm anyone."

The allegations against Yamal have been met with skepticism by some observers, who point out that he has no criminal record and has never been linked to any extremist groups.

"There is no evidence to support the allegations against Lamine Yamal," said Yassine Belattar, a Moroccan journalist and human rights activist.

"He is a young man who has never been in trouble with the law," Belattar said. "I believe that he is being unfairly targeted because of his Moroccan origin."

The French authorities have not yet released any evidence to support the allegations against Yamal. The investigation into his alleged involvement in a terrorist plot is ongoing.
