Scottish rugby player and husband to sports presenter Gabby Logan has revealed he has been treated for prostate cancer and is now in remission
Kenny Logan, a former Scottish rugby player, has revealed that he has been treated for prostate cancer. The 49-year-old, who is married to sports presenter Gabby Logan, said he was diagnosed with the disease in February 2021 after a routine blood test.
Logan, who played 70 times for Scotland and was part of the British and Irish Lions squad that toured Australia in 2001, said he had surgery to remove his prostate in May 2021. He is now in remission and is receiving hormone therapy to keep the cancer at bay.
Logan's wife, Gabby, said she was "incredibly proud" of her husband for speaking out about his experience. She said she hoped his story would help to raise awareness of prostate cancer and encourage other men to get tested.
"Kenny is incredibly brave and strong, and I'm so proud of him for sharing his story," Gabby Logan said. "I think it's so important for men to be aware of the signs and symptoms of prostate cancer and to get tested if they have any concerns.
