Cavaliers Defeat Celtics in Game 7 to Advance to NBA Finals

LeBron James Leads the Way with 35 Points

Boston Celtics Fall Short After Hard-Fought Series

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 87-79 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night, to advance to the NBA Finals for the fourth consecutive year. LeBron James led the way for the Cavaliers with 35 points, while Kyrie Irving added 24 points and Kevin Love contributed 15 points and 22 rebounds.

The Celtics fought hard throughout the series and had a chance to win Game 7 at the end, but they were unable to get the stops they needed down the stretch. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 24 points, while Al Horford added 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kyrie Irving made a crucial three-pointer with just over two minutes remaining to give the Cavaliers a 85-74 lead. The Celtics then missed several shots and the Cavaliers were able to close out the game with free throws.

The Cavaliers will now face the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, which will begin on Thursday night. The Warriors are the defending champions and have won the last two NBA titles. The Cavaliers will be looking to win their first NBA championship since 2016.

The Celtics' loss is a disappointing end to a great season, but they have a lot of young talent and should be a contender in the Eastern Conference for years to come.
